Sand Hills Resort Rules & Policies
Below you will find the most current rules and policies for Sand Hills Resort. After carefully reviewing our resort rules and policies, please feel free to contact us with any questions or clarification needed.
Cancellation Policy

No refunds!
-
Reservations can be rescheduled ONE TIME within the same season (subject to site availability). when done more than 30 days ahead of the scheduled arrival date.

Reservations may not be rescheduled within 30 days or less of the scheduled arrival date.

There are no refunds or adjustments for late arrivals, early departures, inclement weather, emergencies, cancellations or rescheduling.
-
We encourage all guests to consider purchasing Travel Insurance to protect your financial investment in the event of any unforeseen events that may affect your travel plans.
Pet Policy
-
There will be a $20 fee per pet, per stay.
-
No pets are allowed in public buildings.
-
Pets must be on a leash at all times.
-
Pets must not be left outside unattended while owners are away.
-
You are required to clean up after your pets. Pet waste bags are available outside the store.
-
The pet owner will be charged for any damage done by their pets to lawns, water outlets, hoses, or guests' property, etc.
-
Barking, annoying, or vicious pets will not be tolerated.
Check In/Check Out Times

Check-in time is 3:00 PM or later.
-
Early check-in may be allowed after 11:00 AM and before 3:00 PM if your site is available for an additional fee of $10 per hour. ​

Check-out time is 11:00 AM or earlier.​​

Late check-outs after 11:00 AM will automatically be charged an additional day.​

Extensions
-
If you wish to extend your stay, please register at the store before 11:00 AM.

Depending on site availability you may be required to move to a different site.
Site Occupancy & Gate Pass Policies
-
Each site rental includes occupancy for ONE sleeping unit. Any tents, trailers, etc. that sleep additional guests (space permitting) will be charged an additional $10 fee per night.

All guests entering the campground must check in at the office upon arrival to obtain their registration package.
-
Given there is limited space at the gate for parking, please park on the entrance road outside the gate upon arrival. This will prevent blocking the entrance/exit for other guests or in the event of an emergency.

Reservations booked under a group name will require the individual guests for each site to check in.

After hours guests can find their registrations on the bulletin board at the front of the store and must check-in at the office by 9:30 AM the next morning.

Registration includes ONE gate pass that is valid for your vehicle only. Gate passes must be displayed on your rearview mirror at all times.

Gate passes are non-transferrable to other vehicles. Additional gate passes can be purchased at the store during regular business hours.

Providing the gate code for other vehicles to enter the campground will result in an automatic charge to your site of $25 fee for each additional vehicle.

Any vehicle not displaying a gate pass may be towed at the owner's expense.
Resort Parking
-
Extra space for parking on the resort is limited.
-
Each site reservation includes parking for ONE vehicle and ONE trailer that must be parked on your site.
-
If your vehicle/trailer combination is too large or too long to fit on your site, additional parking fees will be charged accordingly.

Additional parking fees will be charged for any extra vehicles or trailers.
-
Parking passes/tags must be displayed for each vehicle and each trailer parked on the resort.
-
Any vehicle or trailer without a proper parking pass/tag may be towed at the owners expense.
Campground Rules
-
Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
-
Loud music, yelling, screaming, running engines or any other disturbances will not be tolerated during quiet times.
-
No parking on adjacent sites.
-
Keep all items on your rented site or in the overflow parking area.
-
No OHV's, fuel cans, or vehicles are allowed on the grass for any reason.
-
No BBQ grills on picnic tables.
-
Please put trash in the dumpsters provided, NOT in the smaller trash cans on the resort or in front of the store.
-
Leaving trash on your sites or in firepits will result in a $50 clean up fee.
-
Restrooms and showers are provided for guests only. Use of restrooms for hair drying, washing of dishes, pets, or mechanical parts is not permitted.

Washing personal vehicles, recreational vehicles and/or equipment is not permitted at the resort.
-
NO SMOKING in public buildings.

Playground use is at your own risk.
Campfire Policies
-
Fires must be kept from the grass and must be kept inside fire rings or firepits.
-
Digging a hole for a fire is not allowed.
-
Fires are not allowed in any access or road area.
-
No chopping wood on firepits.
-
No taking or rearranging of firepit bricks.
-
Only Idaho wood is permitted.
-
Flame height must remain under 3 feet.
-
Fires must not be left unattended.
-
No Smudge Pots are allowed in the resort.
Campsite Inspections

Site inspections will be performed at the start and end of your stay.
-
The cost of repairs or replacement for any damage to picnic tables, firepits, or other campsite property will be charged to your site rental.
OHV Rules
-
Speed limit is 5 mph.
-
OHV's should only be ridden to the sand access and back.
-
Children are not allowed to ride around in the resort.
-
Dust, wheelies, riding through sites and excessive noise through the resort will not be tolerated.

No night riding in camp.
Fireworks
-
Possessing and/or use of fireworks on the resort or nearby BLM land is strictly prohibited. Anyone misusing fireworks will be evicted immediately. You will forfeit all monies paid for the remainder of your reservation and may be permanently banned from the resort.
Other Property Damage

We understand that accidents happen. Any accidents that result in damage to resort property must be reported to the office immediately. This includes damage to the entrance gate, electrical boxes, water pipes, sprinklers, lawns, trees, etc.

Guests may be held responsible for the cost to repair or replace damaged property.

Sand Hills Resort is not responsible for personal property that is lost, stolen, or damaged during your stay. Please make sure your valuables are secured at all times.
Groups
-
Group leaders are responsible for ensuring all guests in their party adhere to the resort's policies and may be held liable for damages caused by other members in their party.
